Fine in a Very Good jacket, unclipped (no price), bumped and frayed at the top edge. Grey cloth with gilt lettering and designs on the spine and front board, a small stain at the bottom edge. Square and firmly bound, clean internally. This copy is inscribed to a "Joel" who seemingly helped in the production of the album adaptation of Silverstein's acclaimed first collection of children's poetry Where the Sidewalk Ends. The album won a Grammy for Best Recording for Children, and Silverstein makes a humorous reference to the album's sales by instructing Joel to color the record "gold silver platinum or purple.
