Very Near Fine in cream tan linen cloth over thin flexible boards stamped in black and red (unlike the first printing which was issued in regular black cloth covered stiff boards), in a Very Good example of the scarce dustwrapper, unrestored, complete with no loss, very lightly worn at points, very slightly dulled along spine panel. Contents identical to the first printing. This copy SIGNED by Wright on the half title page just under his printed name. A somewhat eccentrically designed book, with wide type block which goes deeply into the gutter margins; including section dividers designed by Wright. Wright's mid-career credo and self-justification, of a life filled with personal tumult and prodigious creativity, scarce in this condition, signed, in a decent jacket.
