Twelve volumes. Portrait & three folding maps. Early editions, variously dated 1790-92. Uniformly bound in contemporary half red morocco, marbled boards, the leaves untrimmed. Spines gilt, in six panels, with central devices. Some rubbing, and a couple of lower spine ends with very slight loss, but a very pleasant set. Two leaves in volume I with old marginal tape repair which has left a couple of stains, but no loss to paper or text. The leaves clean & fresh. With the engraved armorial bookplate(s) of William Wriothesley Wingfield. VG. [Norton 94-118].
