A first edition, first printing of 'I Capture the Castle' by Dodie Smith published by Heinemann in 1949. A near fine (or better) book (with top stain still vibrant) without inscriptions in a near fine unclipped (9s 6d) dust wrapper with a little colour repair to the spine tips and corners. A little light creasing. A lovely copy.

I Capture the Castle is a novel by Dodie Smith, written in the form of the journals of 17-year-old Cassandra Mortmain. She chronicles her eccentric family's life in their dilapidated English castle and her own coming-of-age experiences.
