The commonly called 'Recipe Box' distributed at the promotional 'Living Issue Luncheon' promoting the novel's magazine appearance. Comprising the clothbound box, bound in a dust jacket (chipped, two interior tape mends, detached at the lower board), with printed cards enclosed with an introduction by Nero Wolfe, the luncheon menu, and recipe cards (33). Apparently inscribed at the luncheon by Stout as well as several others, most importantly by Gene Sarazen and Borden Chase (renowned for Red River). All books described as first editions are first printings unless otherwise noted.

Too Many Cooks is a mystery novel by Rex Stout, featuring his detective, Nero Wolfe. It was first published in 1938 by Farrar & Rinehart.
