First edition, first printing of The orchard Keeper by Cormac McCarthy, published by Andre Deutsch in London, 1966. This is a near fine copy with previous owner's inscription in blue ink, and similarly erased inscription in black ink, to the front free end paper, boards bound in publisher's original red cloth with gilt titling to spine, slight pushing to spine tips, browning text block with some spotting. In near fine price clipped wrapper with some browning and handling wear, chipping to spine tips and knuckles of front and rear flap folds. Jacket design by Stewart Black.
