First UK Edition, First Impression. Publisher's original grey boards with green lettering to the spine. A bookseller's ticket to the rear paste-down, mild foxing to the early/late pages of the book and a couple of small, minor rust marks to the boards overall a VG copy. In the RARE FIRST ISSUE D/W with the publisher's 2/6 net printed price present on the front flap. The D/W is a VG+ example with miniscule wear to the spine ends. One of only 730 copies of this first impression were printed. Rolph B3. Laid in is an interesting insert from the publisher's relating to their Everyman's Library (930 volumes).
