With gift inscription 3rd front end page dated 1845 and 1897 from her Mother to Christine and Christine Kean Roosevelt from Christine Kean Griffin. Christine Kean Griffin was the wife of William Emlen Roosevelt and Christine Kean Roosevelt was their daughter. William Roosevelt was a prominent New York banker and cousin to President Teddy Roosevelt and financial advisor to Teddy before, during, and after his presidency. Childe Harold's Pilgrimage is a lengthy narrative poem in four parts written by Lord Byron, published between 1812 and 1818. The poem describes the travels and reflections of a world-weary young man who believes his country to be corrupt and embarks on a journey to foreign lands in a quest for spiritual renewal.
