Description

The Pilgrim's Regress was the first book published by C S Lewis under his name and is only predated by Dymer and Spirits in Bondage. First British Edition, First Printing. This copy belonged to Sir Thomas Stafford Bazley Esq. who was a student of Lewis' at Magdalen Colege Oxford from 1927 to 1933. Lewis was a tutor at Magdalen from 1925 to 1954.it bears his amorial bookplate and has no other marks or inscriptions. Accompanying the book is a copy of The Magdalen College Record (Fourth Edition) which shows both Lewis' and Bazleys attendance along with some other information.
