Two volume boxed set, xxii, 559p., prefaces, illustrations, colophon states: "The lithographs to illustrate this edition of "The Grapes of Wrath" were made in two colors by Thomas Hart Benton, the work being done on lithographic zincs especially prepared by George C. Miller, the printing of both lettering and lithographs were done under the supervision of Ralph M. Duenwald, and the binding by The Russell-Rutter Company. The edition was designed by George Macy. This book is a special publication of the Limited Edition Club and the edition consists of 1146 copies, this being number 517 signed by Benton". Two slips explaining the binding of the books laid-in. Near fine hardcovers bound in Rawhide leather backing over "grass cloth" over boards, silver titles on the spine, In God We Trust vignette by Benton stamped on covers, in mylar jackets and lightly-worn tan slipcase.
