With reference to the factory blaze ('to balance the books', p.272) which was subsequently removed. Illustrative frontispiece, in-text and full page illustrations throughout. Spotting to prelims and final leaves, edges toned, owner name to free endpaper, covers and jacket show some acceptable wear and soiling. Very good. Laurie Lee's autobiographical story of his childhood in a Gloucestershire village in the period just following the Great War, detailing a traditional and simple life which disappeared with developments such as motorised transport.
