Publishers brown leather binding with giltwork on both covers and spine, expertly restored. Oversized special edition volume, the height approx. 32cm. Contents on heavy-weight handmade paper. Thirty tipped-in lithograph plates on edged cardstock mounts under captioned tissue guards. Top Edge Gilt, others uncut. Handsome copy of this heavy leather volume, tight and sound, new heavy paper endpapers, a few very occassional small spots in margins and at exposed uncut page edges, slight wrinkles to one or two tissues due to typical original binding error when inserted. A carefully preserved and impressive copy of this oversized, heavy book, clean and bright internally, without any bookplates or inscriptions or any notable marks of previous ownership. All of the lithographs after Edmund Dulac's imaginative watercolours are in excellent condition without any marks or creases. A remarkable old book, 113 years of age, illustrated with actual chromolithographs, signed by the artist, Edmund Dulac. First Limited Signed Edition. Overseas postage may be increased.
