Pale red cloth with blue titling and decoration, very good with rubbing to edges, minor toning to spine, light edgewear including points of rubbing to bottom fore-edge corners, bumped spine foot. Forward spine tilt. Binding sound. Dust jacket good: toned, particularly to spine, and with a series of skillful repairs to verso with only minimal aesthetic effect to exterior. Extremely faint sticker ghosts at front paste down and FFEP. Pages toned. Light soiling across first few pages, only sparsely through remaining text. Text else clean, with no notes, underlining, highlighting or similar.

Farewell, My Lovely is a detective novel by Raymond Chandler, featuring his iconic private eye Philip Marlowe. First published in 1940, it is Chandler's second novel.
