From the collection of Stathis Orphanos and Ralph Sylvester, friends and collaborators of the author and his partner Don, though unmarked as such. Book is nice, with some toning to spine and boards, front gutter starting, though clean with bright top stain. Jacket is complete with little wear, but with amateurish tape repairs in several spots, most notably at top of spine. Sally Bowles is a novella by Christopher Isherwood, originally published in 1937 as part of the novel 'Goodbye to Berlin,' which is part of The Berlin Stories collection. The character of Sally Bowles, a young English singer in Berlin's Weimar Republic, became iconic, especially after the novella's adaptation into the musical 'Cabaret.'
