Publisher's red cloth with gilt titles to spine and upper. Heavy toning to edges, with some spotting to edges and first few leaves. Gently toned throughout with occasional spotting. Smart cloth show light general wear and some toning to spine. Very good. The fourth and final full-length Sherlock Holmes novel, being a retrospective or 'flashback' adventure set in Pennsylvania, 1888. 'The Valley of Fear' is also notable for the involvement of Holmes' arch-nemesis Professor Moriarty.
