[3], iv-viii, [1], 10-306, [2] pp. Later (ca. 1910) polished calf with the spine in six compartments, gilt lettering on the spine, gilt decorations to the turn-ins. Later marbled endpapers and pastedowns. Evans 20992. This book was published in the United Kingdom a few times before it was first published in Philadelphia in 1788. The Philadelphia edition precedes the New York edition by several months according to American Imprints. Rebacked with the spine laid down, the front hinge and the first few leaves repaired and reattached. Two early twentieth-century gift inscriptions on the later front blanks.
