Oversized hardcover in a clamshell box. Very good condition, which is the highest condition grade that I use. Vellum spine with gold (22 carat) lettering. Decorative paper over boards. 9.75 x 13 inches. 281 pages. Printed on heavy white paper, with color illustrations tipped in. At the front, there is an original etching, signed by the illustrator (Peter Suart) and numbered 236 (of 1,000). The letter from the Folio Society production director is included An 8 page brochure on the illustrations is present, as is the large folding prospectus. The clamshell box, with red label on the spine, lettered in gold, is bound in brown cloth. It is sturdy, and in excellent condition.
