Board edges elaborately tooled in gilt, text block edges and endpapers marbled. Numerous engraved illustrations. Each volume bears the bookplate of Rev. Charles Upwood Manning. In near fine condition, with minimal external wear, very light spotting to endpapers, otherwise all pages fresh and bright, and bindings tight and sound.
