Description

The hard to find facsimle set of three books that were originally banned in the US and were first published in Paris- hence the First Edition Library refers to them as the "Published in Paris" series. Each facsimile is a faithful reproduction of the original softcover book (in the case of Lolita, two books). Each book is contained in a custom clamshell box. The original pamphlet describing the three books is often not present, but this set includes the pamphlet. Lolita is in 2 volumes in green wrappers, very little wear but a small yellow spot on front cover of volume 1, near fine overall. Tropic of cancer has a spot of wear at head of spine, near fine overall. Ulysses has a tiny spot of wear on each corner, probably still fine. Light rubbed mark on clamshell box of Ulysses. I can only put 5 photos on ABE- please contact me for more photos.

About Tropic of Cancer

Tropic of Cancer is a semi-autobiographical novel by Henry Miller, first published in 1934. It is widely considered an important work of 20th-century literature, noted for its candid portrayal of Miller's life, its potently individualistic voice, and its frank discussions of sexuality, which have led to legal battles and debates about censorship.
