An immaculate copy of this lovely 1996 fine press edition of Eliot's "Four Quartets". Published out of Cambridge by the Rampant Lions Press in an edition of 200 copies, this copy is marked at the limitation as #72. A clean, Fine folio, in its patterned boards and its deckled fore and bottom-edges. And housed in a pristine copy of the unprinted salmon card slipcase. Also includes not only the publisher's original prospectus but also a handwritten letter (on The Rampant Lions Press letterhead) from Sebastian Carter, the book's designer and printer, to T.S. Eliot's legendary American editor (at both Harcourt, Brace and Farrar, Straus and Giroux) Robert Giroux. A wonderful association and provenance.
