Description

London: Sidgwick & Jackson, 1915. First Edition. Leather Bound. Good. Good in the fine binding by Sangorski & Sutcliffe, rubbed at the edges and hinges, about three-quarters inch of a split starting at the bottom front hinge. Square and firmly bound with a gilt top edge, marbled endpapers, and a sewn-in bookmark. Brooke's most important collection of poetry, which features his much-anthologized "The Soldier." According to the prefatory note by Edward Marsh, Brooke planned on publishing a collection of poems in 1915 but had no part in the structure of this book due to his untimely death at age 27.
