First edition. 4to. 8 (advertisements), xiv, 423, (1), (2 errata), (xv)-xx, (425)-447, (1) pp. Uncut with the original boards incorporated into a parchment half binding, possibly in the late 19th century, with endpapers from that time, some leaves with early annotations: p.39 with what appears to be the name Beaumont to the inner margin; p.101 with four initials to the inner margin, possibly "A.J.H.: M."; p.104 with a variation on the printed text from ".or should chrystal tube / Be lodged therein." to ". or should chrystal cube / Lock in its cells."; p.112 with a simple spelling correction; p.195 with an additional line of verse inserted in pencil between lines 6 and 7 - "The joy of that pure principle of love".
