First edition, first impression, number 178 of 200 copies, this being one of the 165 unsigned examples; 4to; woodcut initials by Edward Wadsworth, the usual, albeit very mild, toning to the title from the adjacent paste down; publisher's tan linen backed brown boards, white paper title label to upper board; a stunning copy, probably one of the three uncirculated copies that turned up the 1980s each vastly superior to any other example we have seen.
