Very Good with slight foxing to edges, a few small stains to rear board, in Very Good dust jacket with worn head, chip at bottom corner of front panel, a few tiny stains with holes in them in back panel, tape reinforcements to verso, unclipped (9s6d). A serviceable copy of the British author's debut novel. She would later write The Hundred and One Dalmatians, which inspired an animated Disney film.
