This is number 1 of 20 copies bound by Zaehnsdorf in full vellum "in a Kelmscott style", from a total edition of 400 numbered copies. It passed by descent to Frieda Hughes, with her ownership signature on the half-title.
The Crystal Gazer is a collection of 23 of Plath's previously unpublished poems, chosen by Ted's sister, Olwyn. It was the first book published by the siblings' Rainbow Press.
