Third edition, 1787. Engraved frontispiece. Inscription dated 1789 on front free endpaper. Two other inscriptions. Bound in a near contemporary full calf with gilt lines to the spine and red titling label. Both hinges are cracked, still firmly attached. Spine, spine edges and corners rubbed and slightly frayed, else a good copy. This copy is complete with the half title, list of subscribers and frontispiece. It has the misprint of Stinking on page 267. 372 p.

This is one of the most famous collections of poetry by Robert Burns, which includes many of his most famous Scots verse and English-language poems.
