Description

Baltimore, MD: Cemetery Dance, 2011. Hardcover. Fine/Fine. The novel that vies for top place as the best of Stephen King's many novels. This edition includes a new afterword by King, where he writes (ironically surely given the length of the book): "I worked on the book in a dream. I remember very little about the writing of it, except for the idea that I'd gotten hold of something that felt very big to me, and something that talked about more than monsters..." This is one of 2750 copies of the gift edition (compared to hundreds of thousands of copies of the original trade edition). Illustrated by Alan M. Clark and Erin S. Wells, who contributed thirty black-and-white illustrations for the text, and Glen Orbik, who designed the wrap-around dust jacket art. Text printed in red and black throughout. 1052 pages, perhaps the largest book attempted to that point by Cemetery Dance. A fine copy in a fine dust jacket and a fine slipcase. [Not from the Tom Garner collection.].
