A fine copy of the true first edition of the1983 Booker prize winner, and which preceded the UK edition (author is one of only two double winners of the prize to date as well as a Nobel Prize winner). Signed by author on the title page. Mylar-protected dust wrapper is unfaded, including on the spine, has a 1cm repaired nick near top of the spine and a 2.5cm very shallow crease at top of rear panel, otherwise is very fine.
