First edition, first printing with 1942 listed on the title page. Good, lacking the dust jacket. Cloth frayed and rubbed through at corners and spine ends, faded at the spine and with two small stains. Pages lightly thumbed. Binding is strained and a little fragile, with several hinges exposed throughout. A nice copy of this scarce Caldecott winner.
