Heaney's fourth regularly published book also proved his most controversial, as it was his first work to directly address The Troubles, which he presented within his characteristic framework of mythology in an effort to contextualize the present. But for a small bump to the lower rear corner, this is a sharp, bright copy in pale blue cloth, and with dustwrapper showing minimal fading to which this title is prone. (Brandes & Durkan A12).
