Price-clipped dust jacket with spine toned, a large crease running down the front panel, and some chipping and wear at the spine ends and extremities. Inscribed by the author: "For Daisy G. Roe | Wishing her all good luck from her friend Ernest Hemingway. Key West March 18, 1936." The recipient Daisey G. Roe was a Florida neighbor who had recently married up-and-coming politician (and future Jacksonville, Florida mayor) Caulie F. Whitehead.
