Publisher's original red cloth, gilt and black stamped spine, front and back covers stamped in black, pale yellow end papers. Color fold out map as frontispiece, additional map on page 27. Scott 4 : Whatmore F3. London: Cassell and Company (1885), 320 pages + 16 page catalog. This VG copy has a sunned spine with a touch of fraying at both ends, slight forward lean, edge wear, some darkening and a few small soil spots. Cracked hinges, book block cracked in a couple of spots, 2 leaves of ad pages are unopened.
