VG/VG+, no DJs. First American Editions. Both volumes in comparable, excellent condition, with very minimal signs of wear and use to board edges and extremities. First Volume (The Jungle Book) has slightly cocked spine, previous owner's inscription on ffep, adhesive damage from else very nice example. Binding solid and straight, interior clean and unmarked. Second Volume (The Second Jungle Book) has light general wear to exterior, else excellent example. Binding tight and straight, clean and unmarked inside and out.

The Jungle Book is a collection of stories by the English author Rudyard Kipling. Most of the characters are animals such as Shere Khan the tiger and Baloo the bear, though a principal character is the boy or "man-cub" Mowgli, who is raised in the jungle by wolves. The stories are set in a forest in India; one place mentioned repeatedly is the Seonee Hills, now known as the Seoni District in Madhya Pradesh.
