A late 18th century edition of Milton s poetical classic, Paradise Lost, in 12 books. There is a fore-edge painting of the Battersea Bridge in London, displaying several additional figures and a market scene. This volume bears the ex-libris bookplate of the Fintray House Library. One finely bound volume in octavo, XLVI+382 pages This volume is in good shape, with rubbing and staining to the binding, and stress to the hinges. There is some foxing and staining throughout.

Paradise Lost is an epic poem in blank verse by the 17th-century English poet John Milton. The first version, published in 1667, consisted of ten books with over ten thousand lines of verse.
