Very Good+ with rubbing to cloth, top edge a bit dust-soiled and stained, hinges sound, former owner's name written on first blank. An attractive copy of the Russian writer's best-known religious, philosophical, and political work, which outlines his Christian anarcho-pacifism. It was published the same year War and Peace debuted in the US, from the same publisher. Uncommon.
