New York: E.P. Dutton & Co, 1907. First editions thus. 4 Volumes, 8vos, 308, 336, 395 and 206pp. Each complete with 24 color illustrations by C.E. Brock. Publisher's decorated cloth boards, top edges gilt, generally very good with hinges cracked, occasional wear at spine ends, corners, and along joints. Former owner's inscription in front of 3/4 volumes, else clean internally. Nice set of 4 from the Series of English Idylls published simultaneously by J.M. Dent in London and Dutton in New York from 1907-1909.   This particular series is known for its striking and vivid illustrations by C.E. Brock which bring each text to life, as well as the beautiful design of the volumes themselves.
