First edition, first printing with no statement of printing and no series of numbers; no price on the jacket. A nice copy of Clancy's first book: waviness to 3 early pages; a few spots of red staining to the verso of the jacket; and light creasing to the top panels of the jacket. No fading to the jacket, and no ownership markings in the book. Better than normally found.

The Hunt for Red October is a technothriller by Tom Clancy. The story follows a Soviet submarine captain who wishes to defect to the United States along with his officers and the Soviet Navy's newest ballistic missile submarine, Red October. A CIA analyst named Jack Ryan is tasked with interpreting the defector's moves and intentions.
