Available is John Steinbeck's The Grapes of Wrath. This book was published by Viking Press in 1939 and is a first edition/first printing. The book states an April 1939 publication date on the copyright page. The dust jacket bears the original price of $2.75 and the "first edition " slugs on the jacket flaps. the book is bound tight. There is a previous owner's writing along the top corner of the first free end page. Other than that there is some very light fixing along the edges(please see photos). as mentioned earlier, the original price of $2.75 and the words "first edition " is present on the dust jacket. The jacket is in very good condition with some wear along its extremities. I'm offering this book for $1800. Upon successful completion of sale, this book will be bubble wrapped and shipped in a box with delivery confirmation.

The first edition of 'The Grapes of Wrath' published by Viking Press would be bound in beige cloth with the title and author's name printed on the spine and front cover, without the Pulitzer Prize mention since it was awarded in 1940, after the first edition release.
