First edition, fifth impression (October, 1908). Bound in tan cloth with a paste-on illustration, gilt lettering on the cover and spine. Illustrated by M. A. And W. A. J. Claus; the eight plates are present as called for; bookseller's catalog in the rear. The cover has a few small bumps and a pair of faint stains on the upper border; the spine lettering is a bit rubbed and there are a few small white flecks. There is a slight crack after the half-title and the endpapers are faintly tanned. A solid copy in (at least) good condition.
