First edition, first printing. Published by Methuen in London, 1928. This is a near fine (or better) copy. The dust wrapper, with decorations by E.H. Shepard, is bright with some off-setting. Small tear to the wrapper at the head of the spine and one to the rear fold and some light chipping. The dust wrapper is unclipped. There is some toning to the front illustrated flyleaf. The boards are mildly sunned and rubbed along the spine edges and very slightly faded throughout, compromising the shine of the gilt titling. This copy is free from previous owners ink and is, overall, in near fine (or better) condition. The second volume of stories about Winnie-the-Pooh and is notable for the introduction of the character Tigger.
