Contemporary ownership inscription of "Thomas Chapman" to title page. Mild staining and toning to pages and text legible throughout, folding chart significantly split along fold line. An Election Year edition of Jefferson's Notes published during what Jefferson himself would call "The Revolution of 1800," a momentous event for the young republic, marking the first transfer of power from one political party to another.
