Stuart Hotchkiss (1913 ownership inscription on front free endpaper). Hotchkiss (ca 1878-1947), a member of Yale's class of 1900 and a lieutenant colonel in the Army during the First World War, was an executive at the United States Rubbed Company in New Haven before becoming President and Chairman of the Board of the Cambridge Rubber Company. He devoted much of his career to developing rubber plantations in Sumatra and the Malay Peninsula.
