Description

New York: Random House, 1979. First edition and first printing. Hardcover. 471 pages. The brilliant fourth novel from the author of "The Road," "No Country For Old Men," and the seminal book "Blood Meridian." A very good copy in paper covered boards with a cloth spine with a remainder mark to the bottom edge of the pages, some foxing to the page edges, and some slight bumping to the bottom corner of some pages and in a very good dust jacket with some edge tears, small creases and some sunning to the spine. Despite the flaws a solid copy.

About Suttree

Published in 1979, 'Suttree' by Cormac McCarthy is a narrative that captures the life of Cornelius Suttree, a man who has parted from a life of affluence to exist on the margins of society along the Tennessee River. It is a detailed portrayal of Suttree's relationships, struggles, and observations of the denizens inhabiting the river's periphery. The novel is often described as a departure from McCarthy's earlier works, introducing elements of dark humor and a sprawling, descriptive style.
