First issue in about very good condition. Top corner of cover bent, spine ends worn with tears and a small stain on the back cover. Bottom of covers moderately worn. Owners name on the top of the front endpaper and a bookplate removed leaving residue on the verso of the frontispiece. Small ink mark on page 17. Snow on cover mostly gone and dulled as with the spine as well. Tightly bound, but a couple of signatures lightly pulled. Overall a very good copy of what is now a scarce book.

Published in 1903, The Call of the Wild is a novel by Jack London. The story is set during the Klondike Gold Rush and follows a domesticated dog named Buck, who is stolen from his home and sold into the brutal life of an Alaskan sled dog.
