A very good early printing inscribed by Wodehouse on the front free endpaper -- "To David, from Plum. P. G. Wodehouse, June 5, 1962." Wodehouse reserved use of the nickname "Plum" for inscriptions to friends and colleagues. Externally rubbed. Some sunning and staining to the boards. Spine slightly cocked. Bumping to the corners. Prior owner's inscription on front pastedown. Pages are bright and clean, with a few instances of light foxing. Generally firmly bound although a bit strained in a few places. Generally, very good. very good in publisher's original binding.
