Dark green art nouveau design thistle and shamrock motif embossed cloth boards, gilt titles embossed on the spine, all uncut edges to the paper, some light foxing to title page and internally also, mild but a little more noticeable on a few, but only really noticeable on several pages and not throughout, rear endpaper has a vertical crease line down the middle and some offset foxing to last blank leaf, text and contents not affected. Loosely inserted advert from A. E. Johnson (Artist's Agent) stating that the original drawings are the property of the artist, but enquiry's can be made to purchase them, this loose and left at title page. Quarto. 21 x 18 cm approx. *Condition for this copy is about very good+. the notorious foxing has affected this copy less than many survivors and the 2nd edition lacks the Irish Courses, the covers are above very good, no stains, no dullness to titles or handling wear, sharp corners and spine ends clear of wear, tiny, tiny smidge of a rub at top edge. No cracked or worn hinges. NO inscriptions or smells. The loose slip is not mentioned in other copies I have seen advertised.
