Spine tips lightly rubbed; unobtrusive scuffed rectangle to ffep where bookplate has been removed otherwise contents clean and crisp. Jacket lightly spine sunned and nicked & creased to edge with slight loss; adhesive tape repairs and light foxing to reverse. A very good copy in good jacket. Mitford's sparkling semi-autobiographical novel, companion volume to "The Pursuit of Love" with the same narrator but a new set of characters. The title is taken from George Orwell's 1936 novel "Keep the Aspidistra Flying", and the story has always been a firm favourite with readers.
