Professionally re-backed and minor repair of corner scuffing. Old/contemporary sticker on the spine, no details visible - only other sticker is a small round sticker on the rear pastedown. Minor shelf wear, gently bumped corners. With errata slip bound in at page 1, containing 3 textual corrections. The interior is toned; first impressions of this book were printed on inferior paper due to lingering war-time restrictions from World War 1. This also results in infrequent marginal spotting. Complete with a color photograph of the 'Endurance' ahead of the title page, many black and white photographs, maps and charts, and a large folding map towards the back, and all complete text.
