The Suffrage of Elvira is a comic novel by V. S. Naipaul, first published in 1958. It is Naipaul's second published book, which focuses on an election campaign in a rural town in Trinidad and the various social forces and characters that emerge during this period. The novel displays Naipaul's sharp wit and keen observations of human behavior.
