Clean book with square binding and firm sharp corners and just a hint of pushing to the foot of the spine. Internally clean, without name, inscription or bookplate. The dust jacket has the usual fading of the purple to the spine. There is tape reinforcement to the rear at the spine tips and joint tips that seems mainly preventive as only the foot of the rear flap joint has a tiny 2mm tear. There is also a light tide mark to the verso of the dust jacket which is visible on the front only faintly, at the top fore edge corner of the rear flap. All in all a good looking 1st UK Edition of this, 'the final novel in the Great Dune Trilogy'. These typically mention the book club edition on the jacket or the copyright page. The original cover of the real first edition was bound in blue cloth with gold lettering on the spine.
